California Love

I was really pushed out of my comfort zone this past week. Having never flown before and being the introvert that I am, a business trip to California with people I didn't know had me in a tizzy. However, I survived and actually I am so happy I had this opportunity. I guess it's a good thing to get out of your comfort zone once in a while, really good things can happen. I bonded with my new team and we had a lot of fun (but some of the fun that happened in California stays in California - Ha Ha). The conference was amazing and we had a little free time to see the sights while we were there.

We went to Disneyland and although I have been to Disney World many times, none of the ladies on my team had ever been to either. They were so excited and I was so excited for them! Disney always makes me feel like a kid no matter what age I am. I loved that I was visiting the original, never thought that I would ever see it, so it was a special outing for me.

We also visited Venice Beach and I just loved, loved, loved it! We stopped in a Harley store while we were there and it was amazing! They had a lot of cool "Sons of Anarchy" stuff.

My favorite place we visited was Hollywood.

After all that worry, it turned out to be a wonderful adventure and I learned so much about myself through this experience. As great as California is I was very happy to be home and sleep in my own bed. I was also glad to get to see my Red Headed Girls and give them their sparkly Hollywood T-shirts.

  1. Verna, it sounds like you had a wonderful time. How great you had time to see things, too. It is good to get out of our comfort zone once in awhile.
