What I did with it!

I see other bloggers post about "what I wore" so I thought I would do a post called "what I did with it" on my finds from the weekend. While I do buy to resell I also buy for myself. I love finding unique pieces to use in my home. I found the most wonderful old RC Cola rack at a junk store that was going out of business for $20. It is a bit rusty but I immediately fell in love with it and for $20 it was a no brainer. I already had an idea of what I wanted to do with it. So here it is in it's new life as a Bar Cart:

I am loving it!!!!

A couple of other things that I am keeping from this weekend are two pieces of pottery that a man at a sale gave me. He said that he had dug them up from an old mill site here in Augusta. They are covered in red Georgia clay but they are absolutely beautiful! They are quite lovely as a center piece for my breakfast room table.

So there you go, that's what I did with my junk that I found this weekend!
I couldn't be happier with my new treasures!

  1. What an awesome find, I would have grabbed it in an instant. Love the transformation...very clever. I'd probably hang on to the pottery also. You really were in the right place at the right time. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

  3. Love your idea for your "What I Did With It" post. More, please. The patinas of rust and clay are what I like best about these great finds, and I just wish I had your imagination to repurpose the cola rack into a bar. Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. Wow...I LOVE the RC Cola cart - and for $20...even better. In my opinion, the more rust, the better, and I think yours has just the perfect amount. Your picture looks like something you'd see in a catalog for hundreds of dollars. We saw an RC Cola thermometer at the barn sale, and he was asking $100 for it. (Mind you I paid less than that for EVERYTHING I bought). Thanks for stopping by - and for sharing your great treasures!

  7. This bar cart is amazing! I recently found an old soda rack (haven't shared it yet!) that I'm debating what to do with.

Of course, cocktails and vintage finds are two of my favorite things - so this is a contender for my find!

Glad to be a new follower.
