As it gets colder here the yard sales become almost nil and the estate sales seem few and far between. Junk Hunting is therapy for me, so it's hard when I can't get my fix every weekend. Lucky for me I have another passion (addiction) that can keep me sane during the colder months when the junk hunting is not so abundant. I love, love, love to sew! I collect vintage sewing patterns and like to use them for many of my sewing projects. I have decided to try to make a dress for myself using one of my vintage patterns for my next project, so I spent a good portion of the day yesterday sorting and organizing my patterns in hopes of finding the perfect one for this project. As I was sorting and looking through all of that vintage beauty I thought I would share some of my favorites with you (warning - lots of pics). Just so you know I pretty much like all vintage patterns 1970's and earlier (not a fan of 80' fashion - hey I lived it and when I look at pictures of myself from that decade I cringe and say to myself "Oh My - did you really wear that").
Children's Patterns
(I use these for the Red Headed Girls)
And as I am expecting a great nephew in December, I have some for boys too!

And the 70's

Wow, there are just so many patterns to choose from! How will I ever decide!
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
