Peach Tree 23 - 44 Mile Yard Sale

Mom and I had a really fun day yesterday. We went to the Peach Tree 23 44 Mile Yard Sale. We have done this several times in the past but it has been a couple of years since we last attended.

Our trip started off in Edgefield SC and ended in Ridge Springs SC (where we got a scoop of homemade Peach Ice Cream - my favorite). I really wished I would have taken some pictures along the way but I was driving and too focused on finding some good junk!

Anyway here are some of the things I brought home with me:

I love these two stereoviews, the subject matter appealed to me. Love the little office and will probably keep one to display in my Etsy office and sell the other. Hmmm, which one to keep?

For some reason I have started collecting old Wedding Photos, I love to see the different fashions depending on the era.

An old Pepsi Drink Carrier.

Love this Sterling Charm Bracelet, one of the charms says "Mad Money" and has dollar bill in it, another is engraved with a name and a date of 1950.

I don't know, I just liked it (it has the word FARM on it and it's all beat up - what's not to like). It appears to be some kind of historical marker.

So this cat - I know nothing about him but he was too cute to pass up. He looks to be Chalkware maybe? and is very tiny. Looks to be from around the 1930's to me based on style of the cat.

I love to buy these types of things for my desk. Really like this paperweight.

Can always use glass tops for apothecary jars.

Such a pretty pair!

So I guess this is the vintage equivalent of a fidget spinner.

Copper Letter Press.

The vintage card box was free! I will use as part of my Christmas Decor!

Sweet little Choir! Japan

Round Genuine Leather Box made in Italy and old Swank box underneath.

I thought these books were just beautiful. Great for displaying around the house.

I found 3 more vintage T shirts (I hope they sell as well as the others I listed a couple of months ago).

Some old Barbie and Ken Doll clothes.

I think my favorite find yesterday was this Dancing Chicken Painting by Ernest Lee (SC Artist) and I can't wait to get it up on my wall! Isn't she just adorable!

I had such a wonderful time and am so blessed to have the most wonderful junking partner ever. We had a blast and will be putting this on our calendar for next year.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Evans Estate Sales

The estate sales this weekend did not provide as much junk as last weekend but I did get a few things. There were two estate sales pretty close to where I live so I hopped in the car on Friday morning and headed over. The first sale didn't have that much of my kind of stuff but I did find a handful of small things to bring home. The second sale had a lot of really beautiful pieces but most were more than I wanted to pay. I went through the house a couple of times and searched out the really inexpensive items and ended up filling up my tote bag.
Here are a few items from both sales:

I always pick up these kind of jars, they are great for storage.

This toaster cover was just too cute not to bring home, I love the fabric.

Love these little Halloween Owls!

This little Christmas Angel was really cute.

More old Jewelry Boxes, I love the wooden one, I have never seen one like it before.

Isn't this the cutest soap dish you have ever seen!

Really cute little candle adhesive tins

Paper Doilies

Love the color on this water bottle, usually I find red.

AND

My favorite find of the weekend are these little aprons for your dish washing soap bottle, the fabric is just beautiful.

Hope you found wonderful things this weekend!

In the Basement

I posted earlier about my amazing find at a Hill Estate Sale that I went to on Friday. If you want to check it out, you can find it here. I had to dedicate a post to that item alone because it is so Fabulous but I did find many other really great items at this sale. My brother (who I love to go junking with) met me at the sale. After I had gone through the house a couple of times I met John down in the basement and I have to say that was where all the real treasures were. Tons of stuff sitting down there for who knows how long. There were a lot of people crammed up in that hot dirty basement and I was amazed that the items I walked away with had not been picked up already. So let's get to it, here is all the beautiful junk from the basement:

I spotted this lamp and quickly snatched it up, then my brother spotted another one. So we both got one of these beautiful Greist Goose Neck Lamps!

I spotted this gorgeous old galvanized bucket full of junk and emptied it out and threw it in my pile! Never have seen one quite this color. It also has a little spout on the side.

This old riffle box was calling my name! (Sorry about the horrible grass, it seems like the yard guy was just here but with all this rain we have been getting it grows fast!)

Here are a few other things I found upstairs in the house and downstairs in the basement. I love the odd shaped jars with the zinc lids. They are a little different and will look lovely in the sewing room full of buttons.

It was a fun sale and I really enjoyed getting to junk with my brother. I did get a lot more stuff and you can check it out on our Facebook page.

Hoping Mom is ready to get back to it next week, I think there is going to be another great sale on the Hill.
