Peach Tree 23 Yard Sale

Mom and I started out early yesterday to attend the Peach Tree 23 Yard Sale through SC. I think this is like the 5th or 6th time that we have attended. We usually go on Saturday but since I was off this past week we decided to go on Friday. The good thing about going on Friday is that I didn't think the traffic was as bad but the bad thing about going on Friday was that I didn't think as many people were set up. However, we still found some really great stuff.

I love this little doll, marked Germany. She even has a full wardrobe. I still need to do a little research on her but think I got her at a great price. She will be going to my Etsy shop soon.

I love this little Powder Puff Wand, there were two but I only bought one. After researching I now wish I would have bought them both. It belonged to the lady's mother that I bought it from. From the 1920's or 30's. This will be going to our Etsy shop soon.

What a steal these cocktail napkins were. They are Madeira cocktail napkins and in new unused condition. Aren't those frogs so cute! Also found some old Rooster Cocktail Napkins. Coming to our  Etsy Shop soon.

A few vintage Christmas rescues. The Bank is in poor condition but for 25 cents I thought  he should come home with me. The Christmas Carol/Coloring Book is in perfect condition. These will go in my vintage Christmas collection.

I collect these Bailey's Cups, was happy to find another to add to the collection.

Lovely Sterling Puffed Heart Necklace.

And a few other odds and ends. An old Bicycle License Plate from Augusta (yes I will keep this), a Ginger Doll Dress, a lovely old frame and some book marks.

We really had a great time. If you live in the area I would recommend you try out the Peach Tree 23, I always find great stuff!

Hope you are having a great weekend!!

Estate Sales

I haven't really found a ton of stuff over the past several weeks. A lot of estate sales but not necessarily my kind of estate sales. I have accumulated a few things over the past month and thought I would save them up for one post.

Here are a few finds from June and July of 2017

Some lovely unused cocktail napkins, a few old patterns and some hankies

Mom and I took a little road trip to Millen and Statesboro GA in July. We went to an estate sale in Millen and I think that it was the worst smelling house I have ever been in. I could not stay in there very long, seriously I thought I was going to hurl! I did stay in long enough to grab this old Knox Fedora (which is still airing out on the back porch by the way).

We left the stinky smelling estate sale and drove over to Statesboro to shop at a few Antique stores, I found a few treasures at the 67 Antique Mall. Some really fabulous book plates (from the late 1800's), an old wood print black (hard to see but there are cherubs on it) and a sweet little wedding topper.

Yesterday I ran out to an estate sale at lunch and found a stunning piece of original art. Vintage Oil Nude I think from the 60's or 70's. I have been unable to figure out the signature yet. Should I keep or sell? Also found another vintage Christmas Card box and some cocktail napkins.

Hoping things pick up here in the next month!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Estate Sales - Vintage Christmas

After last weekend's trip doing the Peach Tree 23 through SC I did not plan to go to any sales this weekend. However, I did spy one sale that looked interesting, I was on the fence about going but talked myself into riding over at lunch on Friday.

I'm really glad I did, I found some really great pieces for my Vintage Christmas collection.

Love the trio, they are not in the best condition but will still look lovely to display with the rest of my Vintage Christmas. The poor little boy looks like he has had a rough life - he has a hole in the back of his head but from the front you can't tell. The girls are in good shape. Not sure if there is any way to remove the dingy look from their robes. I am afraid to try, might damage them further so for now they will stay as they are.

The beautiful Angel also is in rough shape, she is missing her wings and her face is cracking a bit. But I will find her some wings and she is still beautiful to me. I have another one very similar to this one. I think she may be from the 1930's or 1940's.

And this sweet little Santa and some bottle brush trees.

I did get a few other things not in the Vintage Christmas category.
Love this German Half Doll.

Adorable little pillowcase.

A few other odds and ends.

Hope you are having a great weekend!
