The next sale really didn't have much to offer inside (the few items I did want were already sold). However, I did take a peek in the Garage and found a couple of items of interest. Buried under a mound of junk was a table that looked promising. I asked the guy what the price was and when he said "I can let you have it for $10, I said "I'll take it". The other item in the garage was just too cute to resist. I don't know about you but I used to love "The Three Stooges" when I was a growing up. I also work in the Golf Industry so I could not leave this picture of the Stooges in their Golf attire behind. I think I will put it in a different frame, I don't really care for the one it's in.
Didn't really feel like I had given all I could to my thrifting effort for the day, so after work I stopped at the Goodwill. I pass by it everyday on my way home and it's a struggle not to go in there every night but I try to hold out until Friday. I will just say I walked out a very happy girl. I found three gorgeous vintage hats that will go to the booth (well I think I may keep one for myself), a cute skirt and 5 pair of shoes that I will be keeping.
The burgundy one is mine |
$25 for all (looks like I left one pair out of the photo) |
After my Goodwill stop , I went to visit my BFF. I showed her my Goodwill stuff and I think she was coveting my shoes a little bit. We had dinner and some great conversation.
What a great day, I felt completely satisfied when I got home. So much so that I did not go out today
Hope everyone found great things this weekend!

I can't blame your friend for having shoe envy. Great finds this week. I pass our local Goodwill every time I go to the grocery store, which is almost daily, and I have to resist the urge to go in everyday myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paulette! I am a little envious of the fabric you found, it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'd say you had a great thrifting day! Nice spot on the table and good price, too. The hats are lovely as is the apron. I think the shoe fairies were watching out for you; super finds on those shoes!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had good luck with your finds. Love your hats especially.

I love that table! It's exactly the sort I've been keeping an eye out for.

Wow you did great! I love the shoes especially the black ones. I can never seam to leave an estate sale empty handed either. The clocks are great and you are sure to enjoy that picture of the Stooges. I find that some of the best stuff at an estate sale is usually in the garage or basement :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comment, I hope you will stop by again soon!
