I was off most of the week so I had the opportunity to do a little treasure hunting on Friday. Mom and I mapped out three Estate Sales that we wanted to check out. The first sale was by far the best. Everything was priced so cheap! The down side was that we got there a little late. I saw a girl walking out with a vintage industrial chair and I could just kick myself for not getting there earlier. Anyway we all but ran to the house and there was a lot of great furniture inside however we missed out on most of it. I did buy a little cupboard for $35 (it's still in the Explorer - The boys are going to unload it tonight) and Mom got a bookcase for $5. We also picked up a lot of small stuff. Everything on the back porch was free. After much digging I came up with three flower frogs, a lovely old picture frame and a funky clamp lamp.
Great Freebies!
Sale number two was good but higher
priced and the items were not that old. I bought a lot of garden items, a
decorative angel and another flower frog but Mom found the deal of the
day. She bought a little jeweled elephant and come to find out it's a J
Strongwater piece.
Sale number three yielded zilch. The house was pretty much empty.
Okay the boys unloaded the cupboard before I published my post, so here is the little green cupboard:

I love the cabinet. How big is it? It looks like it could be either child's play cabinet or an entire kitchen worth of shelves. Whatever size, it is such a wonderful verdigris colour.
