Furga Alta Moda Doll Clothes

One of the things I picked up at last week's estate sale was a case full of doll clothes. I have done pretty good with vintage dolls, doll clothes and accessories in my Etsy shop so I am always on the lookout for them. I am not a doll expert by any means, but again they seem to be a pretty good seller for me. When I saw the doll case I knew it would come home with me. The doll was in pretty bad shape but the case and the clothes were in really nice condition. After getting them home and doing a little research I found out that the doll, case and clothes are 1960's Furga Alta Moda. Still meant nothing to me. I have had a hard time finding information and pricing but finally found something about them in one of my doll books. Some of the outfits can fetch up to $125. Anyway I thought I would share the knowledge with all my fellow Etsy blog friends in case you run across any. Sometimes the clothes are worth more than the dolls. If you are a Furga collector and have any information, please let me know. All of these items are going to the our Etsy shop. Here are some of the clothes that were in the case:

  3. These doll clothes are so sweet!! I found 2 Furga dolls last year in a bag at a thrift store and sold the pair for $20. I would have trouble parting with those charming outfits!

  4. Hi, I came across this post while Googling for these dolls. What a great find! A real treasure, literally and doll history wise. I have a question: are the black laquer shoes plastic or fabric on the inside? Are they marked on the soles? I have bought a clone doll (also without knowing at first), and she has similar shoes, I would like to find out if they are the same shoes. Thanks very much, greetings from Belgium :-)
