This Week's Treasures

One lone Estate Sale this weekend and I ended up running over there this morning. Pretty sure all the good stuff would be picked over and gone but I went anyway to pick through the leftovers. I didn't really find anything much to put in the Etsy shop but did get a couple of things for my misfits display.

I fell in love with this lovely angel even though she is damaged. She will still shine somewhere on my misfits shelf. She is still in her original box marked West Germany.

I thought I would sell this lovely chalk ware couple on Etsy but when I got it home I realized that the Groom's Hat is chipped off (now why didn't I notice that when I picked it up). Oh well, again to my misfits shelf.

I found a whole bag of vintage Beistle Honeycomb Wedding Bells.

And a few other odds and ends.

So not to bad for leftovers!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and found lots of treasures!

A Little Valentine Find

Mom and I went out yesterday and hit 3 sales. Really didn't find anything grand but did find a few smalls. I was so excited to find this little tin on Valentine's Day.

It's already found a home on my shelf.

Here are a few other things I picked up:

I found this little lady at a yard sale. She is marked Germany and is a powder or trinket jar.

Vintage 1922 Book with some lovely illustrations.

And some other odds and ends.

Mom has been on a junking strike for a while now so I was overjoyed when she called me on Friday night to see if I wanted to pick her up Saturday morning and go out. Nice to have my partner back!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and found lots of vintage treasures!

Furga Alta Moda Doll Clothes

One of the things I picked up at last week's estate sale was a case full of doll clothes. I have done pretty good with vintage dolls, doll clothes and accessories in my Etsy shop so I am always on the lookout for them. I am not a doll expert by any means, but again they seem to be a pretty good seller for me. When I saw the doll case I knew it would come home with me. The doll was in pretty bad shape but the case and the clothes were in really nice condition. After getting them home and doing a little research I found out that the doll, case and clothes are 1960's Furga Alta Moda. Still meant nothing to me. I have had a hard time finding information and pricing but finally found something about them in one of my doll books. Some of the outfits can fetch up to $125. Anyway I thought I would share the knowledge with all my fellow Etsy blog friends in case you run across any. Sometimes the clothes are worth more than the dolls. If you are a Furga collector and have any information, please let me know. All of these items are going to the our Etsy shop. Here are some of the clothes that were in the case:
