Bedroom Vintage Christmas Vignette

I am busy getting my home ready for not one but two family gatherings. I host a "Christmas Cookie Day" for my nieces and great nieces each year and we always have so much fun. This is also my year to host our family Christmas Eve Party. I am very excited but also very stressed out trying to get everything ready! I did want to take a few minutes out of this busy day to share a little more of my Christmas Decor with you. I added a few lovely vintage Christmas treasures in my bedroom and thought I would give you a peek.

Okay, my break is over, back to getting things ready for the Holiday gatherings!

More Christmas Decorating

It's been a nice relaxing weekend. I so enjoy this time of the year when I can enjoy my Christmas decor. I love the way the Christmas lights give off a special glow in the evenings and how the house smells of lovely holiday candles and Christmas baking! I especially enjoy the decor in my Dining Room and shared my little vintage bar cart all dressed up in Vintage Christmas last week. This week I thought I would share a little more of my Dining Room.

I am really excited with the look of my buffet. I try to add a few new things each year. I actually recycled the acorn branch tree I made for Thanksgiving by adding a few old ornaments and giving it a little more of a Christmassy feel.

Here is the whole buffet, I left my vintage seed box where it was (I removed everything else that was on the buffet) and I like the way it elevates some of the decorations.

Christmas and a Candy Jar

It has been a busy couple of weeks for me and I haven't given my blog the attention that it needs! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I enjoyed my time off from work. The Friday after Thanksgiving was spent getting all my Christmas stuff down from the attic and I worked through the weekend to get every little Christmas treasure in it's place. So this month I will be sharing some of my Christmas decor instead of my usual thrifty finds (no junking in December for me - I usually have to much going on and there aren't any sales to go to anyway during this time of year). However I do have one last treasure to share this year. I actually got this from Mom, she has some friends that are cleaning out an old store and they let her go in and look around. She found some really great stuff and when she came home with this I just had to have it! It's a vintage Curtiss Candy Jar and will come in very handy during this time of the year.

I am thrilled to have this lovely jar, it can be used for so many things and will look fabulous in my kitchen.

The first room in my house that I decorate is my Dining Room (I don't know why but I always start there). I don't think that I can do the whole Dining Room decor in one post so I am going to start with my very festive bar cart. I found this old RC Cola cart this year at a Thrift Store. I knew when I bought it that it was going to find a new life in my home. Naturally it needed to get a Holiday makeover so I added a few vintage bits and pieces here and there.

I love using little vintage bits that I have picked up here and there over the years in my decorating and finding just the right place for them. I am really happy with how this turned out. It looks so festive!

Will be sharing more soon.

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!
