Blogger Friends are the Best

Last year I sent a blogger friend some Christmas Card cuttings that I found at an Estate Sale. This year Deb at Garage Sale Gal sent me some very beautiful cards she made using some of the cuttings I sent her. I just love them. Thanks so much Deb!

On a different note, I just sent my brother on an errand. Hoping he is successful on the quest I have sent him on. If he is I can't wait to share!

Hope you are enjoying the Holiday weekend!

This Week's Junk

I hit two estate sales on Friday and then a few yard sales on Saturday morning. Really not a great haul this week but a few fun things. Mom, my sister and I spent most of the day Saturday packing up our junk from the booth we have in the Antique mall and moving furniture out. I have decided that Etsy is more my style. We removed some of the better stuff to list on Etsy and marked down what was left. I surely hope what is left sells because it is not a fun way to spend your day. Anyway, back to the junk I picked up this week.

I was happy to find some vintage holiday stuff and the little pink chenille chick holding the broken egg (she was hiding down in the Easter Decorations box) is my absolute favorite find this week!

I also got this really fun Mr. Peanut bracelet!

Vintage Photographs

And a lot of other odds and ends.

Just an update of my floors upstairs, they will finally be finished the first week of December. I am so happy! We have been living with a mess for a while now and I can't wait to get things back in order. I also can't wait to share the beautiful floors with everyone!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Estate Sale Finds

I really wanted to get my junk hunting done on Friday so I didn't have to go out this morning. It has turned pretty cold here in Augusta GA. My boys were headed out to Athens with their Father to go to the Georgia game so I wanted to sleep in and enjoy a day of peace and quiet and really not plan to do anything (we all need that sometimes). The problem was there were 5 estate sales here yesterday and I could only hit one during my lunch break. So I headed over to one that was pretty close to my house and did a mad dash to see what I could find. I can't say that I found anything that knocked my socks off but I did haul a few things home.

Lots of items for storage (the guy who lived in this house was a dentist and there were some pretty gross slides of teeth in the little slide drawers, and yes I left them there - Ewww)

There were lots of old toy cars but they were pretty expensive, I did pick this one up to use with my Vintage Christmas decor - it certainly has the right colors!

Of course I always look for old books and illustrations (maybe I should hang the piggy tales cover in my kitchen).

I bought this book just for the illustrations, I will probably put this on Etsy. These would be great to use for Halloween Decor.

Some smalls.

And this lovely, lovely Linen.

So that's it, hope you are having a great weekend!
