Second Helping

On Friday I ran over to an Estate Sale during my lunch break. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised  to find that there was not one but two Estate Sales, one directly across the street from the other. I was limited on time but thought I would quickly try to go through both houses. The first house was a little disappointing, really not much there so I headed across the street to the other house. Oh My, there was so much stuff! I did my best to take it all in during the limited time I had. I noticed a lot of the vintage clothing items still had the original tags on them. I spent most of my time going through the clothes and linens and took a mental inventory of the other items because I knew I would be going back on Saturday for a second helping of this vintage wonderland. There were a few things I had my eye on and hoped that they would still be there on Saturday when I returned (Jadeite & Cake Plate). I settled up and went back to work.

On Saturday I was up and out the door early, had a few errands to run before heading over to the sale. Mom had some things she had to do and was going to meet me over there. When I got to sale I found that the items I was hoping to snag were still available and they were 50% off. In the back yard they had tables and tables of stuff, you could fill up a box for $10. I ended up spending about three hours there on Saturday. The Estate sale ladies were wonderful and I hope to see them again in the future. This was a fabulous sale!

Mom got a lot of great things too! We had a blast searching for treasures and making new friends. Hope your weekend yielded you many treasures!

  1. If these were the items that were left on the second day, what kind of stuff was for sale on the first day? Amazing items and half price, WOW! The egg cooker is fantastic.

  2. WOWOWOW!!! Your finds are absolutely amazing! How much did you get the Jadeite dishes for? They are lovely! I just want to find a tea cup and saucer someday. That would be so lovely. I found some pink glass cups from France, and I was pleased to find those this weekend!

  6. Lovely finds! I can only imagine how difficult it was to return to work knowing there were still things you wanted to purchase. I'm so happy they were waiting for you on Saturday and at a discount, too! I love all the dishes (surprised?) and the cake plate. The green salt & peppers are stunning.

  8. Cannot believe the incredible bargains you got at the estate sale. Just amazing. Cannot believe the price reduction/sell by the box either. Envy just might be peeking around the corner. Great luck. Congratulations.
