Let the Christmas Decorating Begin

So I had plans on Saturday to start my Christmas decorating but mom called early that morning and wanted to go out and piddle around so we did. We were gone the better part of the day and when I got home I decided the decorating could wait one more day. So on Sunday I started in the Dining Room. Most of my decorations in this room are thrifted. Here is a peek at my Dining Room. I still need to decide what to put in the bell jar (if you have any suggestions, please let me know), but other than that I think I am done.

Bought these cuties from an Artist at the Augusta Market.

Thrifted Sleigh.

I made the wine sleeve and added a vintage wreath.

Thrifted Christmas Wishes!

Thrifted linens, glasses and silverware (silver plate) - Dishes were a gift.

Thifted plate and bell jar.

Barrister bookcase houses many of my vintage Christmas goodies.

Found this lovely at a yard sale.

More to come.
Hope you all are having a wonderful week.

  2. Hi, Loved that you got to piddle around with your mom. My mom use to say, "Let's go galavanting." What great times we five girls and our mom had. Love your dishes. The plate under your cloche is pretty also. One of my favorite things to do is make mini wintery scenes under glass. I do have an idea that looks very cute. Do you have any vintage ornaments? Really, the can be new also. Turn your dome upside down, fill it up (doesn't need to be full) with the ornaments. Cover the opening with your plate then turn upright. Voila, cute ornaments under glass. Always love your visit on my blog! :)

Put a bottle brush tree in your bell jar or any Christmas ornament , how about a small reindeer? Anything will look great in it
